I write about faith, recovery, and the lessons I’m learning in everyday life. My hope is that something here helps you feel less alone and find one better choice you can make today.

Small Habits. Stronger Character.
Hope for Starting Again.
Before the daily devotional, I wrote my first book about starting again and becoming more trustworthy in the roles that matter. It brings together my experiences, faith, and hard-earned lessons about habits, relationships, and character.
From learning to listen before speaking to keeping the promise at the heart of “The Promise,” these are lessons I’m still learning to practise. The book is written, and I’m preparing it for publication while I wait for its ISBN.

I’ve made mistakes. I’ve had to ask for forgiveness, accept help, and learn to take responsibility for what I do next. Faith, recovery, and honest conversations have helped me keep going.
Over several years, I brought together experiences, journal entries, prayers, and lessons from conversations that stayed with me. Those are the roots of One Better Choice at a Time.

Small Habits. Stronger Character.
Hope for Starting Again.
This book grew from the things I’ve lived, the lessons I’ve learned, and the kind of man I’m still trying to become. It is about turning what we know into what we practise, one choice at a time.
I am not writing this book to preach at you, talk down to you, or pretend that my way is the only way. I have a strong personality, strong beliefs, and more than a few hard-earned opinions, but I am still learning. I have also been wrong enough times to know that confidence and wisdom are not always the same thing. What I offer in these pages is my experience — what helped me, what hurt me, what I learned too late, and what I am still trying to practise. Take what is useful, think honestly about the rest, and make it your own. I am not standing above you with all the answers. I am standing beside you with a few tools that helped me rebuild.
The full book is being prepared for publication. In the meantime, the daily devotional and companion workbook are free to explore here.

Forgiveness can begin with the truth about what happened and how it hurt. Boundaries, wisdom, and consequences can still have a place.
Read the reflection →Trust grows through time, consistency, honesty, and changed behaviour. A reflection on pursuing forgiveness while allowing trust to be rebuilt through evidence.

One Better Choice at a Time grew out of years of real life, faith, and lessons I’m still learning to practise.
Those are the roots of One Better Choice at a Time and this daily devotional, A Day in the Life.
I wanted to offer something people could use in an ordinary day: a moment with Scripture, an honest reflection, and one practical choice to carry into their own lives. Forgiveness, surrender, gratitude, grief, and hope are things I’m learning about, too.
That something here helps you feel less alone and find one better choice you can make today.
I used AI to help organize my material, develop drafts, and refine the wording. It also helped build this app. The experiences, lessons, faith, and purpose that I brought to the work are my own.
I share that openly because honesty matters to me. Technology helped me express and share something I had spent years living and working through.
I want these readings to be easy to reach and share. If one helps you, I hope you’ll pass it along to someone who could use it.
My hope is to turn what I’ve learned into encouragement and practical help for others, one person and one better choice at a time.
